Even though I don't like to even talk about it--my little Nicole just hit the milestone 18! Will I seem old if I say, "It really freaks me out". Anyway, Nicole has joined the ranks of "adulthood"! As long as she doesn't try and run off and get married in the next 5 --no 10 years I will deal with it. (A Mom can dream can't she???) Just give me time!

Office of the Living Dead
I truly hesitated showing this to the Utah Halloween Gurus who put on a Halloween better than Disneyland but. . . wanted you to know that I too, have Halloween spirit. As you can see, we are the Office of the Living Dead. . . this will be me in 30 years, still typing, trying to eek out a living and crazy as a bat.

The Girls @Chicago
NOW WE KNOW!Last year the girls and I all decided to get tickets to the Broadway "extravaganza" Chicago. Monique, our little ticket pro, got us fantastic seats--4th row, front and center. We were all excited. Adam did put a little "chink in our armor" when he told us the Prophet had told the men not to go to Chicago but we were women. It didn't apply to us, right? Anyway, we had all seen the movie and it wasn't that bad. Okay, the women murder their husbands and are in prison but they don't show anything and the music is great so we forged ahead. Nicole said, "okay guys, it's Chicago for goodness sakes, we all need to wear red lipstick". So we did. It was great. We were ready, we were sporting the red lipstick. . . (Except for Danielle, she was the holdout.) Anyway, we all went together, sat in our great seats --excitement filling the air. The show starts, the woman look a little scanky --we sort of glance at Mother but she doesn't say anything so we continue. After a while we look at each other, where are all the dazzling sets, the fabulous costumes, all the glitter of Broadway. The whole thing is taking place in front of the band with nothing else. Intermission comes, we're a bit leary but figure, "it will perk up now". They are going to bring in the fabulous sets, etc. NOPE--DIDN'T HAPPEN. The show ends--no glitter, no glamour, just disappointment. The show was a bit scanky. We were all disappointed. The night was fun, the music was great but the show left a bit to be desired. Needless to say, had the women been at the Priesthood session of conference, the Prophet would have advised the women not to go as well. Now we know!

Pumpkin & Chili Festival
We all went to the Pumpkin & Chili Festival earlier in October. It is an old time farm and is so much fun, hayrides, pig races, etc. Corny but cute. My original video had titles to all the pictures but for some reason they did not show up when I e-mailed them. So, it's just the pictures folks. Hope it works!

Okay, so I'm a bit challenged. . . .
Yes, after much trial and tribulation, my blog is finally online. I've had a bit of trouble--let's just say, things haven't been working up to now. First, I had a great blog named "Colette's View". My kids thought it was really lame but aside from that, for some reason, it wasn't really saved and I could never post on it. Every night I would try to figure a way to post messages, download pictures, etc. but nothing. Finally I got the pro (Dave) down here to see why it wasn't working. He deduced I didn't really have a blog, just a website where nothing could be added.So.... I'm going to give this a try so I can keep up with all the Utah relatives back home.(Actually, I know I'll never keep up but at least can give it somewhat of a showing.)

Girls at Homecoming.

Now will be my attempt to add pictures. I took some shots of Nicole and Danielle and their dates at h
omecoming. Yes, just picture it all now. . . all of them trying to rush off to the dance, and me insisting on taking pictures. But, as we all know, it's what Mom's do. So, if it works, it's as if you are right in the family room with me. Peace out. . . . ciabatta.
